An African icon on Texas soil. One of the most unique hunts we offer.

Blue wildebeest are native to the plains of southern and eastern Africa and are one of the more unusual species you’ll find on a Texas hunting ranch. They’re heavy, muscular animals with curved horns and a distinctive profile that’s unmistakable. Having them on the property adds a dimension most ranches can’t offer.

Why Hunt Blue Wildebeest at Herd Hunting?
