Frequently Asked Questions About Herd Hunting & The Ranch

  • Every hunt is custom. Pricing depends on the specie(s) you’re after, the length of your stay, and the size of your group. Get in touch and we’ll put together a quote for your trip.

  • A standard visit is three days — arrive Friday around noon, hunt through Monday morning. We can accommodate shorter or longer stays depending on availability.

  • The lodge sleeps up to eight. We keep groups small so every guest gets personal attention from our guides.

  • Yes. The property is high-fenced, which allows us to manage the health, genetics, and population of our herds year-round. The ranch is nearly a thousand acres with diverse terrain (creek bottoms, hills, open flats), so the animals move freely and behave naturally.

  • We field dress and quarter your game on-site and store it in our walk-in cooler until you’re ready to take it home. If you’d like it processed and packaged, we’ll connect you with a local processor — that’s a separate cost.

  • Yes. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included with every hunt, along with non-alcoholic beverages. Alcohol is welcome but not provided — and not to be consumed until after the hunt each day.

  • Comfortable and clean. It’s not a luxury resort — it’s a working ranch. The lodge has everything you need including high-speed internet, and a separate game room with a TV to unwind after a long day. Guests consistently tell us they’re impressed by how well-maintained everything is.

  • It depends on what you’re after, but it’s always a good-time for something! Exotic species can be hunted year-round in Texas while Whitetail and other native species follow state-regulated seasons. Contact us and we’ll help you pick the best window for the animals on your list, or the best animals to pursue for your window of availability.
